Job Description:
The positions available are:
ARCHITECT - FACLITIES
ARCHITECT - SPORTS & RECREATION
ARCHITECT - GOVERNMENT & MUNICIPAL
Position duties and responsibilities:
Ø Perform specific project building design and development task,
including programming, drawings, calculations, cost estimates and
specifications.
Ø Respond to client questions and comments, review contractor
submittals and provide clarification during construction.
Ø Adhere to accepted industry and company standards.
Ø Plan, schedule, conduct, coordinate and, in a design capability,
direct the development of architectural project requirements.
Ø Work in all aspects of architectural practice: planning, design,
construction drawings and specifications, as well as construction
administration.
Ø Coordinate multi-discipline team members and manager design
budgets and schedules.
Ø Involves preparation of design contracts, presentations to clients
and some marketing skills.
Ø Review drawings for completeness, review shop drawings and make
site inspections.
Ø Experience dealing directly with clients, vendors, and city
officials.
Ø Good communication and collaboration skills are vital.
Ø Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the
architectural and engineering industry including the building codes and
regulations that pertain to the industry.
Required:
Accredited Degree in Architecture (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of
Architecture).A Registered Architect in the state of Minnesota.
Software Skills Requirements:Proficient with computer based design and/or
management tools such as AutoCAD 2006, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
